Interactive CD-ROM for teaching new environmental competencies in the automotive industry

The Brief
To create a CD-ROM teaching resource to ensure the automotive industry becomes more environmentally aware and sustainable. The resource was to be used by trainees and apprentices of the industry. It needed to contain entire course material for learners at all certificate levels in eight environmental competences that are now part of the national training packages.
The Task
After thorough analysis of the learners needs, we designed and authored a comprehensive CD-ROM resource. To bring the subject matter to life in an engaging way we created explanatory animations, diagrams, and filmed interviews and case studies from the industry.
The Result
A rich interactive experience that appeals to all learners. They discover the risks their industry poses to the air, the water and the land. They learn about pollution through excess packaging, noise, liquid wastes and how to clean up spills. Most importantly they learn that the power to make a difference in their hands.
